The problem of overactive bladder is also referred to as “Urge Incontinence”. Another option is to boil crushed pumpkin seeds in water and consume this mixture after 60 minutes. This natural treatment is required to be used on a daily basis to get the desired results.

2. Buchu

Another effective natural treatment is buchu. It is also referred to as “Barosma Betulina”. A person can prepare and consume buchu tea 2 to 3 times on a daily basis to calm the pelvic nerves. This treatment should not be used by pregnant women. Further, buchu should be consumed as per the instructions of a doctor as it can result in side effects.

3. Vitamin C

Vitamin C can help in improving the strength of the immune system and protecting the bladder from the impact of harmful free radicals. Intake of vitamin C can strengthen the pelvic muscles, prevent bladder infections and repair a damaged bladder.

A person can obtain this vitamin from cranberry, strawberry, grapefruit, pineapple, kiwi, broccoli, orange, spinach and tomato.

4. Cleavers

Cleavers can be used to reduce the inflammation and infection in the bladder. A person can prepare tea with the use of cleavers and water and drink it multiple times to obtain effective results.

5. Exercise

A person can practice kegel exercises multiple times on a daily basis to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. This natural treatment can help in reducing the urge to urinate.

Bladder training is another common exercise for obtaining relief from the problem.

6. Vitamin B-12

Vitamin B-12 is also known as “Cobalamin”. Regular intake of this vitamin can help in repairing damaged pelvic muscles. A person can consume rainbow trout, plain yogurt, white tuna, salmon, breakfast cereals, eggs and roasted chicken to obtain this vitamin. This treatment can also relieve bladder  pressure and improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

7. Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root can also be used in the treatment of overactive bladder. A person can drink marshmallow root tea to deal with the problem.

Honey can also be added to this tea to improve the taste. This natural treatment should be used multiple times in a day to obtain quick relief.

8. Saw Palmetto

Saw palmetto can be consumed to treat the problem of urinary incontinence caused by prostate problems. A doctor should be consulted before using saw palmetto.

9. St. John’s Wort

St. John’s wort can provide relief from the symptoms of the medical condition. Intake of St. John’s wort extract may help in calming the bladder and reducing the need to urinate frequently.
