Fruits And Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are beneficial in treating the symptoms associated with constipation. Consumption of at least five servings of vegetables and fruits is recommended. Consumption of apple one hour after taking meal would be beneficial.

It can also be used in the form of juice. Banana is also a good laxative. Consumption of two ripe bananas between the meals would be recommended. Green bananas should be avoided as they can worsen the conditions of patients suffering from constipation. Taking one handful of raisins one hour after taking meal would also be helpful.


Sesame Seeds

Sesame seeds are helpful for treating the symptoms of constipation. Consumption of not more than half ounce of sesame seeds on a daily basis is recommended.

The seeds can be taken along with plenty of water. These seeds can also be sprinkled over the salads and foods. These seeds are available in the form of paste or butter. They provide roughage beneficial for the body.


Oregano Grape

Oregano grape is a medicinal herb which can be used for the treatment of constipation. Root of this plant has been found to have a number of beneficial properties.

It can also be used in the form of tincture. Take half teaspoon of tincture form of oregano grape and add it in water. Sipping this herbal solution slowly before taking meal would be recommended.


Exercise

Exercise would be helpful for the patients suffering from constipation. It would help in boosting up the fitness level. Simple walking can benefit the patients a lot.

Exercising would help in increasing the bowel movement slowly. Continue doing little exercise on a regular basis. This remedy would help in making the bowels active.


Oranges And Blackstrap Molasses

Oranges are useful for the treatment of symptoms associated with constipation. They contain vitamin C beneficial for the patients. They also contain a large amount of fibers helpful for the patients.

Consumption of two oranges on a daily basis is recommended. This remedy can be used during the morning as well as evening time. This remedy would provide relief from constipation effectively.

Blackstrap molasses are useful in treating the symptoms associated with constipation. Consumption of two tablespoons of blackstrap molasses before going to sleep would provide relief from constipation.

Fruit juice and milk can also be added in it. High amount of calories are contained in blackstrap molasses and hence these should be consumed on occasional basis.


Grain Products

Grain products are helpful for the treatment of patients suffering from constipation. Consumption of six ounces of grain products on a daily basis is recommended. The grain products include starchy vegetables, cereals and breads.

One can use whole grain cereal and whole wheat bread. Consumption of fibers during the morning time in the breakfast would be recommended. Barley is a good remedy for treating constipation related symptoms.


Beans And Figs

Beans are beneficial in the treatment of symptoms associated with constipation. Beans in dried form as well as legumes contain a high amount of fibers that are beneficial for the patients of constipation.

Beans can be consumed and added in the diet. Cooking the beans properly would help in the treatment of constipation. This remedy would also reduce gassiness associated with constipation.

Figs are useful for the treatment of constipation. Take few figs and add them in one glass of milk. Consumption of this solution before going to sleep would be recommended.


Vegetable Oils

Vegetable oils can be used in the treatment of symptoms associated with constipation. These oils include soybean oil and safflower oil etc. Consumption of two to three teaspoons of these oils on a daily basis is recommended.

Continue using this remedy until the condition is cured properly. Also, one should consume butter as well to counteract the effect of vegetable oils otherwise it may lead to the imbalance of calories in the body. The oils can also be used along with vinegar or lemon juice.


Water

Water has always been a wonderful home remedy for the treatment of almost every kind of disease. It is also effective in treating the patients suffering from constipation. Consumption of large amount of water on a regular basis would be recommended.

Taking at least eight glasses of water on a per day basis would help in improving the health of patients. It would help in moistening the bowels to make bowel movement easy.


Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds are helpful in the treatment of patients suffering from constipation. Take two to three sunflower seeds and mix them in almonds, few flaxseeds and sesame seeds as well. Mix all the ingredients and prepare a powder out of that.

Consumption of one teaspoon of this herbal mixture would be recommended on a daily basis. Continue using this remedy for one week. This mixture can also be used by adding it on the salads during the morning time.


Spinach

Spinach is useful for the treatment of symptoms of constipation. It has a number of properties helpful for cleansing the intestinal tract. Juice can be prepared from spinach. Take hundred millilitres of spinach juice and then mix with equal amount of water.

Consumption of this mixture two times on a daily basis is recommended. This remedy has been found to be effective even to cure stubborn constipation cases.
