Take a slice of cucumber and keep it over the affected eye while lying in a resting position. Relax as such for around five to ten minutes. This remedy would be helpful for reducing the symptoms associated with swollen eyes.

2. Water

Water is one of the natural remedies helpful for treating the symptoms associated with swollen eyes. Consumption of at least eight ounces glass of water on a daily basis is recommended. It helps in preventing dehydration of eyes.

Make a note that soft drinks and coffee are not to be taken as substitutes for water. It has been found to be effective in curing the symptoms of swollen eyes.

3. Strawberry

Strawberry is a medicinal herb useful for the treatment of swollen eyes. Using strawberries would help in treating the symptoms of swollen eyes for few minutes. Alpha-hydroxy present in strawberry would help in making the affected skin smooth and reducing inflammation associated with swollen eyes.

Take some strawberries and keep them in freezer for about half an hour. Cut them into slices after removing the tops of strawberries. Application of these slices over the affected eyes would be recommended.

5. Tea Bag

Tea bag can be used for the treatment of symptoms associated with swollen eyes. Either black tea or green tea can be helpful for the affected eyes. This remedy would provide a soothing effect to the eyes and reduce irritation caused due to swollen eyes.
