It is a long-term disease and there is no-known complete cure for it. However, you can relieve its symptoms to a great extent using the following herbal remedies.
Mix one tsp. each of finely-chopped or powdered forms of cinnamon, sarsaparilla, marshmallow and willow bark together. Add this mixture in three glasses of cold water. Leave it for 5 hours, allowing the herbs to soak water thoroughly. After five hours, simmer these herbs at low heat for half an hour. As an added advantage, this herbal bath also makes your skin soft and healthier.
Mix ½ tbsp. of crushed sarsaparilla root and ½ tbsp. of juniper berries in one cup of cold water. Boil the mixture at low heat for ten minutes, allowing the herbs to steep thoroughly in water. Turn off the heat after ten minutes and leave the mixture for another ten minutes, not just to cool down but also to allow the herbs to settle at the bottom. Remove the liquid at the top in another cup. You can take two tsp. of this decoction 2-3 times a day.

Mix ½ tsp. of cardamom powder, four medium slices of fresh ginger, one tbsp. of chopped reishi roots and small pieces of one medium stick of licorice root in two quarts of water. Simmer all these herbs at low heat for ten minutes. There is no need to filter the liquid. You can just leave the container for another fifteen minutes and all the leftovers will settle at the bottom. Remove the top liquid in another container. For added flavor, you can also consider adding a pinch of both cinnamon and sarsaparilla. Simmer the herbs at low heat for ten minutes. Once the mixture cools down, you can drink it. Take this decoction once everyday. Discontinue it when the condition improves. Consistent long-term use of this herbal remedy is not advisable. In general, this remedy can be very beneficial particularly in relieving nighttime joint pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis.
Though feverfew tea can also be used to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, considering the very fact that feverfew tastes severely bitter, most herbal practitioners prescribe this herb in the form of capsules or tinctures. It can be very effective in relieving inflammation and pain.
