Take Rest

Colloidal silver can be taken internally or can be used as topical medication. It attaches to the virus and prevents its replication. Olive leaf extract has anti-viral properties and provide relief from shingles.


Proteolytic Enzymes

Proteolytic enzymes are naturally produced by the pancreas and help in digesting the protein. These are available in the form of supplements and are found in foods like pineapple and papaya.


Apple Cider Vinegar

Add half cup of apple cider vinegar in two cups of water. Use this solution and apply over the infected area to moisten it. Apply this solution using a cotton cloth.


Aloe Vera, Baking Soda & Selenium

Aloe vera in the form of gel is beneficial for the treatment of shingles. Mix leek juice and raw honey in aloe vera gel. Applying this over the rashes is effective in treating shingles.

Mix baking soda in water and use it as a compress for the treatment of shingles. Consume hundred micrograms of selenium per day. It acts as an antioxidant that can be used in combination with vitamin E.


Apply Cold Pack

Applying cold pack over the affected areas would provide relief from pain caused by hot and blistered skin. Place a piece of cloth over the infected areas or wrap with a towel.

Pour ice water over the cloth and keep for twenty minutes. Repeat this remedy until the pain caused due to shingles get decreased. Compress made from cold milk can also be tried.


Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed oil contains essential fatty acids that are beneficial for the immune system. It helps in keeping the skin healthy.

Consuming one tablespoon of flaxseed oil two times per day is an effective remedy for the treatment of shingles.


Acidophilus

Add half teaspoon of acidophilus powder in two ounces of water. Consume it two times per day before taking meals. Acidophilus is helpful for the digestive tract and encourages the growth of bacteria that is useful in strengthening the intestinal wall.


Burrow’s Solution

Burrow’s solution can be used for making a warm compress. This compress has soothing properties and can be applied over the infected areas. Keep the compress for fifteen minutes. Using this remedy four times per day is helpful in clearing the blisters.


Cat’s Claw & Oat Straw

Extract prepared from cat’s claw has anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties. Consume thousand milligrams of this herb three times per day. Pregnant women should avoid consuming this herb.

Extract of oat straw helps in calming the nervous system. Consume five hundred milligrams of oat straw three times in a day.


Garlic

Extract of garlic is available in the form of capsules. Consume two capsules of garlic extract two times per day and continue this remedy for a week.

Consuming one teaspoon of this mixture four times per day is beneficial. It is also available in the form of tincture. Dilute this tincture and use it for healing the infected areas.


Reishi Mushroom

Extract of reishi mushroom helps in stimulating the immune system and fighting against the infection caused by shingles. Consuming five hundred milligrams of reishi mushroom three times in a day is beneficial.


Lemon Balm

Tea prepared from lemon balm is helpful in the treatment of shingles. Soak two to four teaspoons of the herb in one cup of boiling water. Use this herbal tea for topical medication.

Apply this tea over the blisters using a cotton ball. Lemon balm can also be used in the form of ointment that contains seven hundred milligrams of dried leaves of lemon balm.


Echinacea
