Amenorrhea is a health condition in which women experience a pause in their menstruation cycle. The primary amenorrhea involves absence of uterus or complete failure of ovary to receive and maintain eggs. The secondary amenorrhea involves hormonal problems related to pituitary glands.There are many home remedies that can help in treating amenorrhea in a natural manner. Some of the common home remedies for the treatment of amenorrhea include ginger, saffron, hot bath, sesame seeds, flax seeds, tomato juice and cinnamon.


Home Remedies for Treating Amenorrhea

Ginger

Ginger is one of the most effective home remedies to cure amenorrhea. It is perhaps also one of the home remedies that can be found easily in every household. You need make ginger tea for which you need to boil the crushed or grinded ginger in fresh water.

Let the ginger water cool down for some time and then add honey or sugar to the mixture. Drink this ginger tea once or twice every day to regularize your menstrual flow and cure amenorrhea.


Hot Baths

Hot baths are considered to be very effective in treating amenorrhea naturally at home. You can easily use warm water to take bath every day and try to keep your body soaked in the warm water for some time to help cure amenorrhea. It is also recommended to keep your legs and shoulders warm as long as possible to get better results.


Sesame Seeds

Sesame seed is yet another significant cure for amenorrhea. You need to powder sesame seeds and then add it to hot water. Drink this mixture at least twice a day regularly to cure amenorrhea at home.

This home remedy is known to be very effective in treating the primary amenorrhea in anemic women and young girls. You can even use this mixture just a day before the onset of your menstrual cycle to treat the scanty blood flow during periods.


Flax Seeds

Flax seeds are also very useful in curing amenorrhea naturally. You need to prepare a concoction using flax seeds, jiggery, white butter and water. Boil water and add one and a half teaspoon of flax seeds.

Them remove the mixture and mix 30 grams of jiggery and white butter. Let this mixture cool to the room temperature and then drink this concoction in the morning before consuming anything just before a week from the onset of your periods.


Saffron

Saffron is an effective home remedy for treating amenorrhea, as it contains useful anti-oxidant properties. It is known to flush out the toxins out of your body and help you relieve stress from the body.

You can easily prepare the home remedy using saffron by adding few strands of original saffron to boiling water. If you like drinking milk, you can boil milk instead of water with saffron and drink it before going to bed at night.
