5 Remedies For Big Eyelashes

Share

Eyelashes, inevitably are, a very important part of the beauty statement of a woman. Long and curly eyelashes are responsible not just for making the eyes look bigger but also to add a certain grace, certain elegance to the persona of the concerned individual.

And then, this notion may vary but it does exist- longer eyelashes are an epitome of femininity itself. But lengthening the eyelashes naturally requires attention and effort which pays off very well of course; the following are the best possible home remedies for bigger eyelashes, try them out.

Best Home Remedies For Big Eyelashes

Silicon And Protein Rich Diets

Silicon, the trace element is known to promote hair growth and consequently consumption of diets rich in silicon such as asparagus, cabbage, cucumbers, olives, green beans, beer, rice and oats are a suggested technique to grow eyelashes longer.

Eyelashes are composed of keratin and protein diets contribute as well to healthier eyelashes. Therefore, fish, eggs, meat and vitamin C rich diets are recommended intakes.

Petroleum Jelly

Eyelashes need a proper environment to grow to their ultimate potential which includes protection and flexibility. These are met by petroleum jelly (say Vaseline) which is well known for its protective, moisturising and conditioning properties and is proven to make eyelashes longer and thicker.

The procedure is simple enough: prior to application, all other eye-makeup needs to be removed. This is followed by applying petroleum jelly to the lashes with a new (or clean) mascara brush. The jelly should remain throughout the night until morning, when it is removed. This regimen should be followed at least three times a week.

Green Tea

Cooled and unsweetened green tea if applied to the eyelashes carefully using clean cotton balls will prevent and repair cellular damage and this tremendously helps in growing longer eyelashes.

This happens because of a particular ‘gallate’ component which green tea is rich in and is known to be an excellent antioxidant which reduces inflammation and promotes healthy arteries.

Olive Oil And Castor Oil

Oiling the eyelashes using olive oil or castor oil can be of immense use for both of them provide excellent protection and are good conditioners. The steps are such: the eye should be mascara- (or any other make-up) free.

The mascara brush should be dipped in the oil and it should be gently applied from the base to the tip of the eyelashes; the excess oil should be patted with a clean tissue; the eyelashes should be left oiled till morning when they are washed. This process should be repeated at least thrice a week for at least two months before the old lashes fall off and new healthier ones start growing.

Eyelid Massage

It shouldn’t sound silly because it is scientifically proven. A gentle massage to the eyelids facilitates proper blood flow thereby stimulating better growth of eyelashes. Massaging gently and with along the edge of the eyelids and the lash line with fingers (hygiene is of utmost importance in this case and thus hands should be clean- properly rinsed with disinfectant).  These are remedies which have been doing wonders to beauty-conscious women for ages and it is now your turn to take their advantage to own eyelashes which turn others’ eyes to you!
