Consuming adequate amount of food containing vital nutrients like Vitamin A, C and E as well as food enriched with phosphorus can help improve the problem.

Consuming items such as onions, garlic, capers & shallots also help in protecting the eye from any kind of external effect. Having Grapes and blueberries can also help improve eye vision as they contain antioxidants & anti-inflammatory features within them.

Beta-Carotene

Foods which contain beta-carotene are changed into Vitamin A when you consume it. It not only helps to keep your eyes healthy but also keeps your immune system stable and sound. Have foods like carrots which contain high beta- carotene content in your day to day diet. This may improve your eye health as well as your vision. It is one way to control the problem of strabismus. Sources of beta-carotene are pumpkins, sweet potatoes and spinach etc.

Broccoli

Broccoli contains abundance of Vitamin C which not only keeps your immune system in check but also your vision as well. Vitamin C is a strong anti-oxidant which protects the cells in your eyes from getting damaged.

Make sure you eat a cup of broccoli every day as it will keep your eye sight fairly strong and will protect them. This is one way to control the problem of strabismus. Other useful substitutes for broccoli are bell peppers and Brussels sprouts. The quantity for these are half a cup and one full cup respectively.

Eggs

Start off your day with one or two eggs to keep your eye sight firmly on track. Eggs contain vital proteins which are useful and helpful for our eye sight and vision. The yolk of the egg is equally nice too as it helps in preventing various kinds of eye problems and diseases as you get older. Eat a couple of eggs regularly to make sure that your vision gets stronger with the passage of time and which in turn will reduce the problem of strabismus.

Fish

Fishes have a lot of beneficial properties and curing Strabismus is one of them. Fishes such as salmon, tuna and cod in particular consists of healthy and rich omega-3 fatty acids, which are very well found in the retina of our eyes.

Omega-3s are also beneficial for improving and enhancing your brain ability and power which in turn leads to better and sharper vision. If you’re not an ardent fish eater, you can also have fish oil pills for similar kinds of results.
