Patients suffering from herpes simplex 2 can consume three to four cups of herbal tea prepared from Echinacea on a daily basis. Consumption of two capsules of Echinacea three times per day is recommended. Consumption of one fourth tablespoon of Echinacea three times per day is beneficial. Continuing using this remedy for a period of three months would be beneficial.


Pau d’arco

Pau d’arco is a medicinal herb which is helpful for the treatment of herpes simplex 2. Consumption of this herb for a period of three to six months is recommended. It can be consumed in the form of tea, tincture or tablet. Four parts of pau d’arco can be combined with two parts of Echinacea and one part of burdock root.

Cinnamon, licorice root or orange peel can also be added in the herbal tea for taste. Consumption of four to six tablespoons of the mixture can be added in one quart of water. Mix the ingredients well, strain and drink three to four cups of this herbal tea on a daily basis. This tea is helpful in supporting the immune system.


Astringent Bath

Taking astringent bath is helpful for the treatment of herpes simplex 2. It can be prepared by adding one ounce of chaparral leaves, four tablespoons of baking soda and one to two drops of tea tree oil. All the ingredients can be mixed together and added in oil. This herbal bath would definitely provide relief from the symptoms associated with the virus infection.
