Ginger

Ginger is very good and helpful in cutting down mucus. Take one spoon of ginger juice and mix it with a spoon of honey. Drink this mixture three times a day. This will provide relief from cough and also reduces mucus. Ginger tea is also very helpful in providing relief.


Soup

Bronchitis Cough Hot chicken soup is very soothing to throat. This will provide relief from throat pain and makes you feel better. Veggies can take hot tomato soup, it will also equally helpful in providing relief during bronchitis cough. You can add a pinch of black pepper in soup, it is also good for cough.


Gargle

Take a glass of warm water and add a spoon of salt in it. Gargle with this water 3-4 times a day is very good for throat and also this help in throwing out mucus. This will also provide relaxation from throat pain.


Almonds

Almonds are good source of potassium and magnesium. They provide a lot of energy to our body and also helps in healing up during coughing. You can eat almonds as it is or use it in during food preparation. Almonds in juices is also very good.

Inhaling steam is very relaxing during bronchitis cough. Inhale steam 4-5 times a day. This will remove congestion, makes you breath better and also help in cutting down mucus.

Taking steam at night will help in sleeping. If possible, take steam bath as well. This is very good in providing relief.

Onions are also good in cough. You can eat onions as salad or add in a roasted form in your soup. This will provide relief from pain and also help in throwing out mucus.

Dry environment can cause irritation during breathing. You can use a humidifier, this will humidy your environment and help you in breathing well and provide relief from pain.


Garlic

Consuming garlic during bronchitis is very good. Take few cloves of peeled garlic and dip them in honey and keep it overnight. This honey is very good for cough and helps remove mucus very easily. Eat this honey 3-4 times a day and see the results.
